Pros: The staff (Meagan) is wonderful. The area is great! Literally 15 minutes from everywhere. Very quiet and peaceful ... community. I didn't have to pay a water bill. Cons: Poorly insulated townhouses. I could "smell" what the neighbors were doing through the vents. The palmetto bugs are very disrespectful and doesn't offer to help pay rent. The mailman is HORRIBLE. I should have used a PO box. My Experience
I have lived for two years in Tryon Village Apartments and it's been a negative experience. Management and staff are very ... unhelpful, they only contact you when they need something done for the apartment. Otherwise they don't respond or don't respond at all, in regards your problem. The maintenance in and out of the apartments are terrible, the maintenance staff acts like they don't care about your problem or situation. "And they come when ever they want, there is really no privacy." Lastly, prices are horrible, they go up each year without any proper notice or notification. And management only care about you choosing a price without contacting you over the phone or email. I have lived here for nearly a year and I am in the process of renewing my lease. I cannot say enough positive stuff about ... living here. I'll start with the staff and maintenance. Laura is always friendly, informative and timely. It's nice having the same person to work with from the time I first applied to live here. Maintenance is excellent. They fixed my toilet and my bathroom sink. The response was essentially immediate and both were fixed the first time. I am very appreciative of that. I am also very satisfied with what I pay to live here. I am close to downtown and the interstate, and everything I need for grocery shopping is just 15 minutes away. As far as amenities go, I, personally, didn't move here for a lot of amenities. A swimming pool or exercise room were not what I was looking for, so I was appreciative to find a place that didn't charge extra for things I don't need. We have lived at Tryon Village for almost a year now and we just renewed our lease for another 6 months. The only reason ... we plan to leave is because it's just time for something bigger as our family grows. We have never had an issue here. The staff is excellent and works hard to create a tidy and respectable living experience. If we ever have had a concern it was handled right away and effectively. Maintenance is great too. I have lived in places where work orders took weeks to be taken care of. The Maintenance here handles our work orders within a few days. They also work hard to keep the grounds clean for the residents. It's all around a great place to live for people who are just starting out or for smaller famililes.
